About Gel Ovations Europe Ltd – Our History

Gel Ovations Europe Ltd was founded in 2007 by father-and-son seating specialists John and James Payne.
They wanted to make seating simpler for therapists while giving clients better comfort, safety, and pressure care support during daily use.

Their vision focused on creating wheelchair pressure solutions that therapists could issue immediately.
This approach avoided delays and improved overall pressure care outcomes for users.
They introduced a new range of ready-made gel accessories, including Gel Arm Rest Pads, Gel Calf Supports, Gel Wraps, and Stick-on Pads.

Gel Ovations began with just 20 pressure care options. These were designed to give therapists fast, reliable support directly from the shelf.
Today, we offer over 250 products that support not only wheelchair users but many other types of medical equipment users as well.

Therapists, rehab engineers, community equipment stores, and tissue viability nurses now use our products. Our products help to prevent pressure injuries and improve user comfort.
We also supply specialist seating manufacturers and tissue viability care teams with our innovative Dimensional Gel Pads to enhance their seating systems.
